Joan Papp, MD, FACEP

 

Joan Papp, MD, FACEP is an Associate Professor in Department of Emergency Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center. She graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 2000 and the MetroHealth Case Western Reserve University residency program in Emergency Medicine in 2004. She is the founder and Medical Director for the MetroHealth Office of Opioid Safety and Cuyahoga County Project DAWN.

Dr. Papp is Chairperson for both the Policy Subcommittee of the U.S. Attorney’s Office Heroin Action Plan Committee and the Opioid Response Initiative for the Ohio Hospital Association. She is the recipient of the Crain’s Cleveland Healthcare Heroes, Advancements in Healthcare award in 2014, the Ohio Injury Prevention Partnership Award in 2015 and the 2016 Ohio ACEP Award for Advocacy in Emergency Medicine.
