Anna Barnes, MPH
Anna Barnes (she/her) is a Senior Program Officer for Non-Infectious Disease Programs at the CDC Foundation. She has led a variety of public health initiatives rooted in multi-sector collaboration at community engagement. Prior to her role at the CDC Foundation, she worked as a Program Director for the Illinois Public Health Institute as a core leader for Data Across Sectors for Health, a National Program Office funded by RWJF. Anna led a team that designed and managed grant programs, co-led a national learning collaborative, and supported evaluation, learning and dissemination efforts. Previously, Anna worked at the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children, a part of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Chicago Children’s Hospital. Her role focused on advancing policy and systems change to address inequities through interventions at local schools, neighborhoods, and across Chicago. She has a BA in Anthropology from University of Rochester and an MPH in Community Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
